The purpose of this section is to bring you Inside the Mind of CEO Brion Carroll and in doing so see the world of the Retail, Consumer Products, and Consumer Goods business operations as he envisions it, as it could be; as it should be; as it will someday be.
Some will say that it’s a journey that requires one to disconnect from the reality of today and pack a lunch because the journey is to a faraway land that is unrealizable and only available in the ether of fantasy and fiction.
This is was said of his vision of the industry’s first PDM; it was also said of the first enterprise PLM for the Retail market; and it was repeatedly said of the first configurable systems integration facility that enabled PTC’s FlexPLM to connect with any 3rd party system / service with a published API.
Each of these transitioned from “vision to reality” and it is with an infinite degree of certainty that his vision of a PLM Based SolutionScape in Retail, Consumer Products, and Consumer Goods will achieve the same outcome; extreme value to a set of markets that are in desperate need of an operational efficiency make-over.
It is suggested that you read each of these Inside the Mind writing in sequence, but I’ve always found that it is best to let the spirit guide you. In any case – enjoy the journey; pack a lunch if necessary; but know that, as with all other past journeys, this vision too will become reality.
