Brion Carroll, CEO of Digital Solution Group (DSG), is a visionary leader whose lifelong mission has shaped the trajectory of the Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) industry. With a career spanning over three decades, Brion’s contributions have been instrumental in driving innovation and evolution in the field.

The journey began In 1984, when Brion spearheaded the development of the first PDM system at Computervision. In 1992, he founded Life Cycle Solutions, Inc., the industry's pioneering first “full-service” consulting firm dedicated to PDM/PLM. Under his guidance, the firm introduced innovative tools like PDM Evaluation and Cost Justification toolkits.

Brion's forward-thinking approach led to the launch of the PDM Information Center in 1995, the industry's first website promoting transparency. In 2002, he led the Team that developed FlexPLM, the Retail sector's first enterprise PLM solution, which later impacted non-Retail markets. During his tenure at PTC, Brion led the development of the ThingWorx Retail Connector (now Flex Connect) in 2018, enhancing digital connectivity within the PLM ecosystem.
